Website development for rent-a-car agencies

For rent-a-car agencies we build sites powered by our online booking system. In a few steps the user picks dates, a vehicle and insurance, with a clear flow toward confirmation and payment.

  • Online vehicle booking
  • Availability calendar
  • Fleet & pricing
  • Insurance packages
  • Online payment & booking management

How the work goes

01

Talking about your fleet

We start with how your agency actually operates: how many vehicles you keep, how the fleet shifts through the season, where guests collect and return a car, and how long a typical rental lasts. We also want to know where your guests come from and which part of the job eats most of your time. Nothing needs preparing at this stage — an honest description of how you rent today is enough.

02

Shaping the offer

Next we set out what the system has to know: vehicle categories, seasonal price lists, the shortest rental, collection and return conditions, insurance packages, mileage limits and extras such as a child seat. The decisions are yours; we ask the questions and suggest simplifications wherever the offer confuses a guest. The richer the offer, the bigger the project — we wrote about that in how much a rent-a-car site costs.

03

Building site and booking

We build the site and the booking flow for the phone first, because most guests pick a vehicle while travelling. The guest chooses dates and a location, sees only what is free, adds insurance and extras and reaches a clear confirmation. Everything works in both languages, with the same content and the same prices. What we need from you here is a review of the texts and vehicle photos.

04

Payment and handover

If you want money collected through the site, we connect online payment for the full amount or a deposit. Then comes the handover: you change prices yourself, open and close dates, add and retire vehicles and follow bookings in one place. The point is that after handover you do not depend on us for any everyday change. Before launch we walk through several test bookings together.

05

Going live

Finally we move the site to your domain, check the booking flow on several devices and show your staff how each change is made. You keep a short manual and our contact for the questions that surface once the season starts. When the business changes — new vehicles, a new location, a new package — the work is added to the existing system, not started from scratch.

Frequent questions

01

How long does the build take?

The timeline depends on a few things: the size of your fleet and the number of vehicle categories, whether you go with one language or both, whether online payment is connected, and how ready your photos and price lists are. An agency with a smaller fleet and finished materials moves much faster than one still sorting out seasonal prices. That is why we quote a schedule only after we see the scope, never off the top of our head.

02

Can I change prices and fleet myself?

Yes, that is the whole point of the system. Through the administration you add and retire vehicles, change seasonal price lists, open and close dates, and edit insurance packages and extras. Everything that changes often sits in one place, with no need to call us. Training happens before launch and your staff keeps a short manual. You come back to us for upgrades and problems, not for routine work.

03

What happens to my existing bookings?

Nothing disappears overnight. Existing bookings run their course and the new system goes live once the flow has been checked. If enquiries already reach you by email, phone or through intermediaries, those channels stay — the site is added as a channel that keeps working while you sleep. Together we decide what is tracked in the system and what stays outside it, so the same vehicle never gets rented twice.

04

Does booking work well on a phone?

It does, and that is the starting point rather than an afterthought. A large share of guests book from a phone, often at the airport or on a bus, on a weak connection and with little patience. So the flow is built for the small screen first: large date fields, an obvious location choice, the price visible before confirmation and as few steps as possible. We then check the same flow on tablet and desktop.

05

How is online payment or deposit connected?

Payment is tied to the booking flow, so a guest can pay the full amount or only a deposit and settle the rest at collection. This requires a contract for card payments online, which you sign as the agency; we handle the integration and test the flow. Card details are entered on the side that processes the payment, the site never stores them. Confirmation to the guest and the record in the administration arrive automatically.

06

What about guests from abroad?

The site and the booking run in Montenegrin and English with the same content in both, so a foreign guest never lands on a half-translated page. Rental conditions, insurance and mileage limits have to be clear to someone arriving in Montenegro for the first time, because that is where misunderstandings at the counter usually start. The confirmation and collection instructions arrive in the language the guest booked in.
